- 2 years previous documented experience as an OR Scrub Tech General/Ortho experience highly preferred. 3. CPR certified. 4. OR Scrub Tech Certification is preferred. PHYSICAL DEMAND/WORK REQUIREMENTS 1. Oral and written communication skills 2. Must be able to assume the following positions on an occasional basis (0-33 percent of shift) sitting, kneeling, reaching overhead, lifting a minimum of 50 pounds, carrying, pushing 100 feet or pulling 100 feet. 3. Must be able to assume the following positions on a frequent basis (33-66 percent of shift) standing, walking, stooping, crouching, lifting up to 25 pounds. 4. Able to stand for long periods of time, 3 to 4 hours. 5. Must be able to demonstrate physical stamina, strength and condition to meet the emergency duties and responsibilities of this position as defined by the US Department of Labor. 6. Able to care for patients with infectious disease. 7. Daily exposure to sharps, anesthesia gases, radiation, chemicals, power instruments and cold temperatures. 8. Able to take emergency call and respond with in a 30 minute time frame.
